‘Murica: Corn dogs, amazing burgers, beautiful views, and much more.

Our summer vacation this year was a 2½ week trip to the states – specifically San Francisco where my parents moved to last year. Kim had been there before, as a teenager, so he could recognize surprisingly much in the area (I was impressed – I can barely remember the vacations my family took me on as a child). We rented a car for a week, so we could take trip to South Lake Tahoe. I don’t think I have…

2013 Week 32 Friday: Bricks and food!

Another day seeing a lot of stuff. We started at a brickyard that made hollowed out bricks with insulation in the gaps to improve the U-value of the finished wall as well as improve the acoustic traits of the wall. We got a tour around the factory where we saw the ovens and all the machines they used to make the bricks, we also got a demonstration of how the bricks were assembled and Molly even got to try…

Brick with insulation being tested This week we had german class in the morning, and then after lunch we had our seminar class, so this was a very eventfull week. Monday we went to the schools lab to try and pressure test some bricks. Their facilities was amazing compared to the ones I’m used to at DTU. Everything was modern and looked pretty new, at DTU everything is basically from the 1970’s. We tested a brick with holes in it,…

2013 week 6 and 7, workout motivation and cake!

2013 week 6 and 7, workout motivation and cake!

Week 6: This week I had a great idea how to motivate myself to work out: Everytime I work out I set 50 kroners aside for make-up! I feel like it is a great idea because then I can get fit, and reduce my money-use on make-up 🙂 definately a win-win situation. Later I might even reduce the amount saved to 25 kroner, as I am still only on SU (government support) and the few hours I can gather from…

2012, Week 47

It has been a slow week for me. My school semester is coming to an end, so most of my time goes with schoolwork and assignments that needs to be turned in little over a week from now. Nothing exiting happened, we didn’t meet with any of our friends, we just stayed at home doing homework and relaxing. I made a tasty lasagne in the beginning of the week, that lasted my boyfriend and I 3 days. Sunday my mom…

2012, Week 45

This week started kind of slow. My mood was kind of low and I didn’t feel like doing anything, which is why there is no pictures of the beginning of the week. Thursday my boyfriend and I started dog-sitting for my parents so this is basically the main theme of this week 🙂 My parents have 2 dogs, a almost 9 year old boxer called King, and a aprox 8 month old french bulldog called Frida. King is getting old…

2012, Week 44

Allright. Let’s get this blog started! This week has been very good socially, but sadly the weather has been very typically fall weather, windy and cold. My week started as usually with me going to school at the Danish Technological University, where I am currently taking my Masters degree in sustainable energy. Tuesday I have no classes so I took a trip to the mall to look around in H&M where I bought two cute sweaters and a rocky pair…
