March 2015 Hauls: MAC, Stila, Zoeva and much more

So many beautiful things! I admit I went a little nuts this month with buying makeup, but it’s just so much fun to look at, buy and play with makeup so I can’t help myself 🙂

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: A wonderful, synthetic face brush, that is great at buffing foundation
into the skin.

MAC Pro longwear Paint Pot in Groundwork, Stormy Pink and Indianwood: Groundwork is a brown, great for sweeping on the eye when you don’t have time to apply too much on the eye, or underneath eyeshadows to give them a warmer, brown tone to them. Stormy Pink is a pink/purple that works well when doing cool toned eyeshadow looks. Indianwood is a bronze with a bit of shimmer to it, and it’s amazing for lid colour on its own, or underneath a bronze or gold eyeshadow.

MAC Face and Body in C1: I think I said enough about this in the February 2015 post, but I got this, lighter, colour to mix with the C2 I got last time, to make it match my skin better.

IsaDora Twist-Up Matt Lips: I find this a bit too dry when applying, so it would kind of pull on my lips. The colour is also a bit too pink for my liking.

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Creme in Unlimited: A great berry coloured lipstick. It moisturizes and applies beautifully – I usually dab it on my lips, and then blend it a bit with my fingers. I find that it last a long time and fades evenly.

W7 Get Set Eyeshadow Base in White: A white base to apply under bright eyeshadows to make them appear brighter and more true to their pan-colour. I have not yet had the chance to try this.

theBalm Mary Lou Manizer: A great, golden highlighter. So many people have raved about this, so I had to get it when I found in online in a shop that shipped to Denmark. I really like it when I want to go nuts with my highlighter 🙂

W7 Toasted Eyeshadow Palette: This was sadly more shimmery than I would have liked, but the colours are pretty. I haven’t really used it yet (due to its shimmery-ness), but it would probably be great for blue eyes.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Bronzebeam: A good, brown/bronze eyeliner. Great for everyday looks, since it wont be as hard as a black liner. It last fairly long as well – even longer if I use a powder on top (which is also great for smoking out the liner).

Make Up Store eye pencil in Chocolate Cheesecake: A metallic brown. Also great for everyday looks, but the metallic look brings a bit more pizzaz to the look. It last well also.

Zoeva Graphic Eyes in Glance, Female Attraction and Good Karma: Glance is a flat brown colour (so another everyday colour). Female Attraction is an amazing, matte petroleum colour, that can be used as a liner, but it would also work great as a base for a smokey eye. Good Karma is “mermaid colour” (shimmery green/blue), that is great for more colourfull looks. These all last really well for me.

Stila Crush Lip & Cheek Stain in Pomegranate and Acai: These are amazing! Incredible staying power, and they fade evenly. The colour can be applied lightly for a toned down look, or amped up for a more bold look.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Taupe: I have pretty dark brow hairs, despite having dirty blonde hair. So I got the Taupe dip brow to make to hairs blend in to the “drawn on” brow better. The dip brow has amazing staying power – it doesn’t smudge, or streak when it rains. But, it is really easy to go too powerfull/dark when using this, so it’s super important to use a light hand and blend it properly.

Stila Perfecting Concealer in Shade B and C: I wasn’t sure what shade I was, so I got two so I could mix them. The applicator is kind of irritating – squeezing a tube to get concealer is a pain! Then there is air bubbles that make the product squirt out and it’s generally difficult to get the right amount. The product itself is okay – I can’t really say anything good or bad about it. It’s creamy and covers decently.

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain: A wonderful lip colour that sort of gives a “my lips but better” look. The staying power is okay, but it fades evenly, which is so important.

Phew – that was a lot of products 🙂 . That will be all from me for now, see you next time.
