January 2015 Hauls: M.A.C and KIKO

MAC haul

In January I received 2 packages with makeup. One from MAC and one from KIKO.  I always love getting packages, even when I ordered them myself 🙂 . So I’ll walk you through what I got, and how I feel about the item.

From MAC I got:
Mineralize Blush in Love Thing and Warm Soul: Great blushes – Love Thing is incredibly pigmentet, so a little goes a long way. Warm Soul is a beautiful neutral blush for fair skin, and I use this quite often when I just want it to look natural.

Fluidline in Gentrified: Good texture, but the colour is too light for a eyeliner in my oppinion – but you can always use it as a cream shadow or similar.

Select Moisturecover in NW15: The formulation is okay. It might be too dry for my under-eye area, but other places it does fine. Sadly it is too pink in the undertone for my skin.

Cremestick Liner in Portside: Beautiful plummy/port wine colour and creamy texture. Fairly long lasting.

Lip Pencil in Cranberry from the Sharon Osbourne collection: A very red colour, which I was not expecting when I ordered it. The texture is more dry, pencil like than the cremestick liner.

KIKO haul

From KIKO I got:
Supreme Cream Eye shadow in 03 and 01: I was not impressed with these. They creased like crazy, within a few hours, which is so not a look I want. The colours are pretty, but the longevity is such a drag.

Look made with the KIKO cream shadows

Eye Shadow & Eyeliner Palette in 01 Street Glam: This is such a great little palette, Though I mostly use the black and brown, but the colours last for a long time, and are nicely pigmented and has no fallout (what I have seen at least).

Mixing Solution: Used for applying glitters. Since I have no real glitters at the moment, I actually haven’t gotten a chance to use this yet.

Color-Up Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 31, 29 and 33: Really pigmented and creamy, but surprisingly darker than I anticipated. They last a long time, but I can only really use them in the outer corner, since they get too dark if I use them on the entire eyelid (unless I want to do a smokey eye, then they are great.).

Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 04, 37, 36, 05, and 38: Wonderful cream eyeshadows. Pigmented and long lasting, though some of them are a bit more shimmering than I would prefer (totally subjective opinion). Also the colour 36 is a really light red/pink colour that I’m having trouble using since it can make my eyes look kinda sore and sickly.
